Links to Bureau of Land Management Oil and Gas Leasing Program
The Bureau of Land Management is responsible for oil and gas owned by the United States.  Federal oil and gas is often leased for production under National Forests, National Wildlife Refuges, National Seashores, and other federally owned land. Federal leases are sold for oil and gas located under private lands.  The BLM holds periodic sales of these leases: Competitive Oil and Gas Sales Dates for Calendar Year 2001.   We also have maps of upcoming BLM O&G lease sales.
